When we established Hartley's of Paris, we had little idea how successful our concept of French design flair combined with traditional English craftsmanship would be. Thankfully, we soon gained a reputation on the Continent for our signature flat-woven stair runners and carpets which were both visually striking and durable.

As we grew, we extended our stock range considerably. We also offered a bespoke design service, allowing us to create custom-made floor coverings for clients. This proved highly popular with the owners of exclusive hotels, restaurants and boutiques as well as residential customers seeking something special.

We formed Hartley & Tissier to make our concept more accessible to the United Kingdom and the world beyond. Today, with the addition of our new centre in Cheltenham and a select group of UK-based stockists, we can undertake projects almost anywhere.

In 2015 Hartley & Tissier were awarded a Queen's Award for Enterprise in the category International Trade. They are the first company to win such an award in their industry for the international trade category in over 20 years. This is the UK's highest accolade for business success.
